Index of CTSP Tools ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I-Suite Tools: Currently contains a single file titled "How To Set Up I-Suite Server as Client.doc". This documents the procedures to change an I-Suite server into a client and back again. postit_3: A free version of the handy application for making electronic Post It notes on your screen. Sanitize_Drives: The applications located in this folder facilitate the sanitization of a hard drive. There are currently three applications recommended: copywipew - a free utility to copy or securely wipe an entire hard drive. EraserSetup32 & EraserSetup64 - a free file and folder sanitization application released under the GNU General Public License. Can be used to permanently remove existing data or previously erased information via a white space wipe. HDDErase - executes the Federally-approved (NIST 800-88) Secure Erase command in the ATA ANSI standard, which is implemented in all recent ATA drives greater than 15-20 GB. Normal Secure Erase takes 30-60 minutes to complete. Security: Contains the latest released version of the "Security White Paper" and "Individual Computer User’s Acceptable Use Agreement". The agreement needs to be signed by all users of the Incident computer system and filed in the Incident Documentation Package. SnapAssist: The application that can locate and give information about all Snap Servers that exist on a given network. Useful when you acquire Snap Servers with unknown configurations. Transition_tools: Several tools to assist the CTSP in providing information to an incoming team in an effort to simplify the transition process. IT Inventory.mdb - a database system to track computer resources being used on an incident. Can be used to track network information as well as equipment location. Can output forms to transfer property to incoming team. replace.vbs - a simple script that will modify user ini files on the system it is run on to replace the old server name with a new name. Server names can be run hardwired in the script or provided via command line. Transition Documentation Checklist.doc - a document that can be used to track important infomration about the I-Suite system as well as vendor and admin contact information. This document is to be considered "Sensitive" if filled in and must be protected accordingly.
