The aim of this project is to provide management and planning staff with frequent written summaries of values threatened by wildfire in their area. Reports are published twice daily, before 0700 and before 1700, analyzing values at risk for wildfires that have been updated within the last seven days. The USA Current Wildfires ESRI Live Feed determines which wildfires are included in the analysis. Buffer zones used to summarize values at risk are defined at 1, 3, and 5 miles from the latest perimeter or reported coordinates of a fire. Click the drop-down icon to expand the values at risk summary for one of these zones. At the top of each report is the date and time the report was created. It is possible that internet difficulties will prevent a report from being published, in which case the previous report will still be visible. Users are encouraged to reach out with any questions or suggestions for improvement. connor.edick@alaska.gov
