Stage I Plan

Forecasted Weather
 

Weather at ignition was similar to current conditions.  Temp - 92, winds 3-5 SW.

This Afternoon: Areas of smoke. Partly cloudy, with a high near 79. West southwest wind between 8 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm. Areas of smoke before 11pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. West southwest wind between 10 and 13 mph becoming calm.

Independence Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming west between 8 and 11 mph.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 48. West wind between 8 and 11 mph becoming calm.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming west between 6 and 9 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 84.

Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 55.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 88.

Monday Night: Clear, with a low around 57.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 93.

Forecasted Fire Behavior
 
Fire was creeping in duff, ground fire in understory.  minor tourching in repro.  Fire has not increase spread in 4 days.
High humidity (snow in area above fire). spread has been limited by rocks/smoke shading from Siskiyou Complex.

 
Hazards and Safety Concerns
 
Wilderness Area, Public - hiking/fishing use.  Firefighters - hiking into area, good safety zones in rocks and open terrain.
Trail heads are posted to advise Public of fire/smoke hazards.

 
Management Actions
 
Continue Air Recon with KNF Air Attack.  Continue to monitor weather.  No suppression action.

 
Availability of Resources
 
Fire Use module (10 personnel), Knf Helicopter on Base, 2 type 3 engines. (would have to place Engine non IA)
