Cameron Peak, C) Wildfire Overview - 16 September 2020 c. 0515 UTC Weather Conditions - The vicinity of the fire was cloud free. Details - The interpreters were able to designate the fire perimeter and isolated fires with no difficulty. Small areas of perimeter growth and intense fire were detected at the northern end of the fire. Additional very small areas of creeping growth were noted along other portions of the perimeter, mainly also in the northern portion of the fire. Additional very small areas of intense fire were detected within the central and southern portions of the perimeter. Moderate-sized areas of scattered fire were detected within the western, central and southern portions of the perimeter. Isolated fires were generally within fairly close proximity to the main perimeters. Note - Due to differences in GIS systems, while the attribute table of the starting perimeter gave an acreage of 102,417 acres, my system gave a smaller total acreage, even though I had perimeter growth. My system calculated the starting perimeter as 101,200 acres, thus giving an increase of 98 acres. Acreage - Starting Perimeter Source - Incident/NIFC Starting Perimeter Date/Time - 15 September 2020 1700 MDT Estimated Acreage: 101,298 Acreage Change (if any): +98 (If there has been no increase since the previous perimeter, enter N/A)
