Abstract:
Coverage of detailed soils data from the USDA/NRCS soil survey maps |
Metadata elements shown with blue text are defined in the Federal Geographic Data Committee's (FGDC) Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Elements shown with green text are defined in the ESRI Profile of the CSDGM. Elements shown with a green asterisk (*) will be automatically updated by ArcCatalog. ArcCatalog adds hints indicating which FGDC elements are mandatory; these are shown with gray text.

Positional Accuracy: Between 1989 and 2000, visual inspection by the SWFWMD staff and NRCS soil scientists was done by overlaying checkplots on a light table. It is estimated to have some errors from 15 to 100 meters with the larger errors around the Tampa Bay coastline.
The SWFWMD coverage was electronically transfered directly from SWFWMD and projected to Albers HPGN using ArcInfo 8. Additional tables from SWFWMD and tables already at FDEP were joined to the original coverage from SWFWMD. The joins were based on the muids and sequence number 1. The following is a list of those tables: SWFcomp SWFflood SWFfotg SWFlayer
